Patrick McKenna
Board/Founder
Patrick is an experienced entrepreneur, investor and business leader. He has co-founded 4 technology companies, operated as a senior executive and invested in more than 40 startups from Pittsburgh to Madison and Portland to Atlanta with exits valued over one billion dollars. Patrick is regarded as an expert in tech startups based outside of Silicon Valley. He currently serves as Co-Founded/Executive Chairman at Facet Wealth and Partner at Comeback Capital. He founded One America Works to help more people in more places connect to the growth and innovation economy across America.
James Dougherty
Board
James is an entrepreneur as well as investor and advisor to startups. James went to college at Miami of Ohio and has been connected personally to the midwest ever since. James spent seven years living in China and Germany, where he started two companies. This experience provided James with an inside look at how top U.S. economic competitors leverage all of their talent and share growth benefits. The two companies James built over that seven-year period each led to exits, which led James back to the U.S. in 2015. James is a co-founder at One America Works, connecting talent, innovation and growth across the country.
L. Wade Rose
Senior Consultant Strategic Relations
Wade Rose is Principal of LWR Strategic Relations and was Vice President for External and Government Relations for Dignity Health.
He was responsible for developing and maintaining strategic leadership relations between Dignity Health, its CEO, and key external organizations and individuals.

Nathan Pitzer
City Director - San Francisco
Nathan has lived all across the United States, but he considers the rolling green hills of Pennsylvania home. He's a Lancaster County native who went to undergrad at Lehigh University and recently completed his MBA at Carnegie Mellon. While in Pittsburgh, he opened the extension of the Bay Area VC fund Illuminate Ventures, where he learned more about the untapped potential throughout the Pittsburgh region. Nathan currently lives in Oakland working in tech marketing, while providing his insights to others via One America Works.
Marketing Team
Paige Sottosanti
Marketing and Events Manager
Paige is a senior at Lehigh University pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in marketing with a minor in psychology. She is originally from the east coast, but has interned at various companies over the past five years from New York to San Francisco. As a member of Lehigh’s Startup Academy, she is particularly interested in early-stage startups and their growth journeys. Paige resonated with the mission of One America Works and joined the team this summer to manage the organization of Virtual Recruiting Events.
Kylie Schreiber Wolf
Social Media Manager
Kylie is a specialist in the nonprofit sector, having worked in or with over ten nonprofit organizations over the years. She works with mission-driven organizations to improve their online presence and effectively engage various stakeholder audiences. Additionally, she is familiar with the stories of cities and communities who are constantly trying to find balance in their economic visions and workforce and talent realities. She is an Indianapolis native and lover of the Midwest. She studied political science and communications in undergrad and is actively pursuing a Master’s Degree in Public Affairs at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
Amma Johnson
City Coordinator
Amma Johnson is a designer, artist and entrepreneur. She was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA and a proud graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Marketing. Amma's parents immigrated to the U.S. from Ghana, West Africa to pursue education and a better quality of life. Her upbringing motivates her passion for diversity, inclusion and access to education. A current resident of Harrisburg, PA, she spearheads projects around closing the gaps for economically disadvantaged entrepreneurs. Amma brings experience as a former chamber of commerce and economic development executive to the One America Works team connecting cities, technology companies and talent to resources for growth.
Maralynn Jacoby
Designer, Web Developer
Maralynn moved to Pittsburgh in 2010 after finishing school in Chicago. She is the owner/principal designer at Bear Left Bear, where she loves best to see great ideas communicated beautifully and effectively. Maralynn has worked with One America Works since 2018, providing graphic design and website development support.
